Conserving the Caribbean Waters, One Bill at a Time

Pezcaribe is one of the few fishing charters in Playa del Carmen that prides itself on conserving the big game fish population through a catch and release program in efforts to protect the ocean and keep the under water world thriving.

Many non-profit organizations such as The Billfish Foundation, join forces with local fisherman from all over the world in researching the marine environment and advocating conservation awareness. TBF uses the world's largest database through a tagging program to learn more about migration, growth rates, and other important life history characteristics. International, Club, and Regional tagging competitions are held year-round to recognize the works of anglers, captains, and youth in their tag and release efforts to protect marine life.

As proud advocates of conservation, Pezcaribe's fishing philosophy of conserving and protecting the ocean plays just a minor role but with education and awareness, we can all take part in keeping the seas full and thriving for years to come.
